Week 12 - a new home, and goodbye to my fish!
After the excitement of the Internal Evaluation and some reflection and planning ahead, I've relocated my blog to the Salford post-graduate site. This is the link - New blog where you may still be interested in keeping up with my slow but steady progress towards my PhD.

Week 9 - onwards and upwards!
So, the academic highlight of last week has to be the Internal Evaluation, which was positive and helpful, with some useful feedback. Not to be underestimated, though! And now it's gone and I can re-focus on my text analysis and keep an eye on the horizon for the endgame of completion, starting next Tuesday.
Although I've passed this major milestone, I feel there is still some way to go and it's not just a case of a couple of chapters on analysis and findings - though I'm not quite sure what else I need to do. I want to review all those thoughts, ideas and "notes to self" and include them if they still add value to the process. The word count is also very low.
In the real world, the weather is sunny but cold, and we've had a splendid walk "en famille" with friends, my parents and brother, above Holmfirth with extensive views. Sadly our dear dog has arthritis so his long walking days are over....
